More dashboards will not make you safer

Detection without response is theatre. The question worth asking of any security product is not what it detects, but who is awake when it fires and what they are empowered to do.
Ask the response question first
- Who receives the alert, by name, at 3am on a Sunday?
- What are they authorised to shut off without asking permission?
- How long between the alert firing and a human reading it?
